HELLER LECLERC T5/T6 1/35
The Leclerc tank, the most used vehicle on the battlefield, was designed around three basic principles : mobility, firepower and protection ; communication was added afterwards. Served by a crew of three men (the commander, the gunner and the driver) and able to stand up to the most intensive assault during heavy battle, as well as deal with the toughest of the targets, it can take on all the missions usually allotted to armoured units, whatever the surroundings (nuclear, bacteriological and chemical protection) or the kind and form of engagement. Its very compact size certainly contributes towards its safety. It is protected by a very hard armour plating structure, by components which are added according to needs (evolutional protection) and by electronic countermeasures. The 1500 HP of its power unit ensures it great mobility on cross-country (an average of 40 to 50 km/h) and a maximum speed of 70 km/h. It has a range of 500 to 650 km thanks to its 1300 l fuel tanks and its 400 l disposable supplementary fuel tanks.
