HELLER SUB IMPREZZA WRC 02 1/43
The new Imprezza WRC appeared for the first time during private trials, a few weeks before the start of the 2001 Monte-Carlo Rally and was greeted with much surprise since it is a 4-door sedan, unlike the previous model. Adjusting the vehicle will take much longer than expected and after one year of competition, the Subaru Prodrive écurie hoped to confirm the good potential of the car on asphalt, during the 2002 Tour de Corse Rally. The unsettled weather conditions during the Rally took all the pilots of the World Championship by surprise. The pilot of the n10 vehicle, Markko Martin had to abandon after doing an aquaplaning during the 10th special event. Finally, Peter Solberg, driving the n11 vehicle came in 5th position for the main event, behind 3 Peugeots and 1 Citroën. Coming in 5th position brought into light the exceptional talent of the pilot, which had already been noticed during the Monte-Carlo Rally, as well as the high standard quality of the Subaru Imprezza WRC, which has been demonstrated rally after rally. _ Asphalt version 2002 Tour de Corse _ Structure : 4-door monocoque, steel and polyester body shell .
